Canadian Hemlock trees can grow to be up to seventy feet tall when fully mature. They will do outstandingly well when planted in full sunlight and will do great in moist and well drained soil conditions. The Tsuga Canadensis has a very long lifespan of several hundred years. It can reach a height of up to 100 feet with a trunk diameter of around 5. Under city conditions the height can remain shorter. With a conical crown and a straight unforked trunk it is has a very good form. It thrives well in cool and humid climatic conditions. It can grow in full sun as well as in full shade conditions. They can grow in loamy as well as gravelly soil which makes it a good tree for the city.
