The Yellow Pine tree is a tree that is grown many times for its lumber which is used in construction. They are very fast growing trees and can grow more than 3 feet per year. They have also been known to get as tall as 120 feet when mature and have a canopy spread of about 40 feet. The bark on these trees will take on an almost yellow appearance when they are mature plants. These trees are native to the southeastern portion of the United States and grow best in climate zones 7 through 9 although they have been known to do quite well outside these zones. They are adaptable to various soil conditions, but will grow their best in sandy or clay soils. They will need moisture and good drainage for their roots.

This plant is stunning. I was panicked when I saw it bare root in the box but took a chance, followed the instructions and so far so good!
