Arrow Arum - Peltandra virginica
Arrow Arum is a widely distributed wetland plant in the Eastern US and parts of Canada. It can also be found in central Florida along the Gulf Coast and in the Everglades. It is tolerant to low oxygen levels. It is often considered an invasive plant in some places in North America. The leaves are quite variable in size but generally shaped like an arrowhead. It has green and yellow flowers. Larvae often feed on the rotting spadix on this plant.
