This is considered a ground cover and will do great when planted in any soil, but will do best when the soil is moist and has good drainage. The foliage on this plant has a needle-like an appearance, and the blooms are very tiny. They are beautiful when they appear in spring in colors of pink, white, purple or lavender. These blooms have five petals each. This plant, once established will require little to no maintenance. It is quite hardy and easy to grow. It looks beautiful planted in natural areas.
