The Pokeweed plant is a large perennial wildflower that will return each year. Parts of this plant are also edible, and it is known and used in holistic medicine. The blooms and diminutive white and pink flowers will begin to bloom in midsummer and last up until wintertime. When these blooms begin to die, they are replaced by a berry. These berries are a great food source for many different types of wildlife such as birds and small animals. These plants will do best in moist soils with good drainage.
