Swamp White Oak is an impressive tree. These giants grow well in groups of other oaks and provide much-needed food and shelter for wildlife. Its leaves are long and have up to nine lobes or finger-like extensions. The Alba White Oak is a self-pollinating variety, with both male and female attributes. Its grey bark often flakes off. In fall, the oak’s leaves turn from a bright green to a deep red or brown. The perfect tree for an established lawn or for those who want to attract squirrels with the oak’s abundance of acorns.
