Toad Trillium - Trillium Cuneatum
Toad Trillium is an herbaceous perennial that blooms from April to May and presents with brownish maroon, purple, or dark red foliage. It is a low-growing plant with a showy and fragrant flower.It’s most commonly used as a groundcover for a naturalized area or woodland garden. It grows well when planted alongside of other spring wildflowers though it is not recommended as a border for a perennial bed. Offers visual appeal when placed near ferns or mosses.
